"I searched for a man among them who would stand in the gap before Me for the land."
- Ezekiel 22:30
Corydon, Indiana needs men who are “strong in the Lord and the power of His might” (Ephesians 6:10). At CBC we desire to be used of God to raise up godly men (singles, husbands, fathers) who will stand in the gap for the glory of God in the Gospel of Christ! God has called men to lead in a way that represents and reflects the Chief Shepherd, the Lord Jesus. So, as men, we seek to sharpen one another “as iron sharpens iron.” Aside from our regular weekly worship and our small group discipleship (described elsewhere on this site), we do this by:
- Meeting monthly to pray together, fellowship and study biblical manhood. This happens the first Sunday of every month.
- Meeting weekly to be led by a Pastor through the preaching text for the week. This equips and encourages men to then lead their families through the text that same week.
- Holding an annual Wild Game Supper in March to reach out to unchurched men and give them a time of food, fun and hearing of the gospel of Christ.
