"Behold, children are a gift of the Lord" -- Psalm 127:3

Our ministry philosophy towards children and youth is simple and Biblical - we believe God has appointed parents to teach, disciple, and raise up their children. We work hard to equip parents and legal guardians to be their child's most trusted and respected teachers of the truth. Yet we believe that parents arent supposed to be the only teachers of their children.

At CBC, we are striving to form youth into God-fearing, gospel-driven, grace-loving adults who take the name of Jesus to both Corydon, Indiana and the ends of the Earth.

CBC Kids1

CBC Kids is the umbrella term for everthing "kids" related at CBC.

On Sunday mornings we have Children's Sunday School from 9:30 -10:30AM where gifted Bible teachers teach God's word to children and students.

We also have a nursery for babies ages 0-2yr during both Sunday School and the Worship Service.

During the school year (September - May), we also meet every other Wednesdsay for a time we call Memory 4 His Majesty (M4M). During this time, gifted CBC Kids leaders sing scripture songs, play games, and have a time of memorizing various passages of scripture together. Typically, the kids learn one passage of scripture each month, which is reinforced with the parents at home. We do this because we believe Psalm 119:11, trusting that if we pour God's word into the hearts of these kids, it will bear good fruit in them for the rest of their lives.

We give high priority to the well-being and safety of every person who gathers at CBC, especially Children. Here are a few of the specific measures we have taken to protect everyone:

  • Parking lot Security / Watchman
  • Safety and Emergency Team on Duty each Sunday (consisting of nurses, firemen, paramedics, and police officeres)
  • A robust Child Protection Policy and in-depth screening and training of CBC Kids Volunteers. We use http://ministrysafe.com/ and http://www.kidcheck.com/
  • Video surveillance
