The Church is a family of families.
The New Testament explains the Church as a big family. Our aim is to live out that familial connection in the way we "do life" as a community.
At CBC, we believe the Bible teaches that Dads and Moms are the primary teachers and disciplers of their children (Deuteronomy 6:4-9, Proverbs 1:8, Ephesians 6:1-4). This means we aim to equip parents to lead their children to know, love, and serve Jesus.
This plays itself out practically in a couple of ways:
- We never expect parents to be separated from their children unless they choose to do so.
- We encourage whole families to worship together. We expect children to be with us in our Sunday Morning service.
- We offer Men's and Women's ministry opportunities to strengthen their own relationship with Jesus.
We also recognize, however, that it is healthy for kids to be taught to follow Jesus by other godly men and women in the Church. We have many offerings for the discipleship of children and students. See more on CBC Kids.
Currently, we are studying together as families through the books of Ezra and Nehemiah on Wednesday Nights @ 6:30PM.
